John F. Sissons
John Sissons is a citizen of the Cheyenne Arapaho Nation of Oklahoma. Sissons is also a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. The legislature of the Cheyenne Arapaho Nation has declared Sissons and about 75 other men and women of the Nation, warriors. Sissons is also an elder of the nation. Sissons earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Houston in 1985. Sissons served in the Regular Army from 1970 to 1976 and the Texas Army National Guard from 1978 to 1985. Sissons was born in the far north Texas Panhandle in 1951 to a British ancestry petroleum engineer and a Cheyenne registered nurse.
